Hi all, i have sent around an email with an attachment which includes:
-Training Schedule
-Attendance for recreational shooters in NYGH up to 6 Feb 2007
-Nominal Roll for competitive teams in SAFRA.

I don't have everybody's emails so I uploaded the documents and you can download them here.

Hi all, there's training next week and instead of everyone coming down for 3 days. I have split everyone for the 3 days. Sorry to the recreational for only getting one day to train; coach zhang wants to concentrate on the competitive shooters more. Hello! Updates for everyone here!

1. Trainings
If you hadnt know that there is holiday training, you ought ta get whacked by me or some other shooter!

Here goes the schedule of holiday trainings! It's every tuesday and friday until the end of November.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A CHANGE IN TRAINING TIMES ON TUESDAY FROM 2-pm TO 9-12nn

Tuesday: 9-12
Friday: 9-12

Please note that attendence would be taken! If you cant make it for any trainings, please make it a note to inform either me, shiing or xinxi. Thanks!

2. Lockers
As SAFRA is going to build lockers in the back alley, we are going to get 3 lockers for cdiv and 3 lockers for bdiv. Pistolers will have to share (but seriously, pistolers have nothing to store! :P). So the competition team members will have priority when it comes to the lockers. One locker can store roughly a suitcase. Exact dimensions not known. I will have to ask Jones tomorrow. Will get back to you guys on this asap (:

3. Suits
Sorry Sec1s, you guys will not be able to wear the suits, orders from Mr Paul Tan. Only the competition team will be able to use their suits.

4. A Division
We will be forming an A division team consisting of PRCs. We will carry out selections on 11 November in the school range. You guys are not needed to come. Just informing you guys (:

5. CCA Training Camp
I am sorry to announce that the whole training camp has fallen through with HCI shooting club and we are not able to hold one (even on our own) because the teachers will not be free to supervise. So I guess we will have to settle with a chalet or outing this year. No worries, the exco and I will try our best to hold a camp next year!

6. C Division Team Selection
Sec1s! Please take note! The selection for C Division Team next year is around the corner. Hence, from now on, seniors and exco will be observing your attitude and aptitude and finally we might hold a mock competition next year to decide. So work hard, train hard and good luck guys!

The selected team will have their own suits and rifles. (haha yes, I am bribing you to work harder! :P)

Hmmm, for the comments that have been made on the tag and for people's emotions getting flared up, I am sooo sorry. I did not know things would become so serious and I shouldnt have posted on the blog. You guys shouldnt have be implicated in this. So Zijin, eening and eunice kho, please accept my sincere apologies.

I do have my shortcomings and my leadership may not appeal or satisfy everyone and yenjie, you are entitled to your own opinion and I respect that. Why dont we talk this out as a club during the next training? I think it would be better if we can sort this out and understand each other perspectives better (:

I AM SO LOVING MAH LIFE because

EXAMS ARE OVER!!

hehe, I am sure you guys are feeling the same way too. Don't care about how much you think you flunked certain subjects, dont think about how many careless mistakes you made because

IT'S CELEBRATION TIME!

Take this few days to really have fun and scream your heart out. Exam results can wait because

The collection of our prettaye jackets IS TODAY! And only those who have paid xinxi the money will get it on Friday. Those who didnt pay, pay $40 or $10 (if you had paid $30 the first time round) and you will get your jackets on monday. I am sorry that I cant give those who didnt pay the jackets first, I am paying the balance today with my own money ($800) because very little people paid xinxi. So you guys know you are and dont make me become nasty!

Alrite, I am sorry that sounded really bad but yups, hope you understand. And oh, those who had paid for the items for the CIP, we are gonna get the claim back this friday! So you will get your money on monday :D

I miss you guys sooooo much. Ahh! The I-so-miss-shooting bug has bitten really hard for the past 2 months! (the lousy no-shooting ban still stands ): boo...)

Chrysanthemum Tea
Selling Price:

Expenditure: $15
No. of packets produced: 300
Targeted No. of packets to sell: 250 ($1.50 each)
Net Profit: $375 - $15 = $360

Procedure:

Boil water in pot
When the water boils, turn off the fire, add in 50g of chrysanthemum leaves and 100 g of rock sugar
Stir and cover
Wait for 10 minutes or soil
Filter out the chrysanthemum leaves
Ready to be served

Back Up Plan:

If all else fails, buy Yeos packeted Chrysanthemum Tea.

I am sorry I did so badly. It is my fault that we got 8th. Me and my screwy shoulder/arm. HAHA :P 324 is so funny. I shot worse than last year! I hope everyone has been fine so far (: The competition team has been training hard in SAFRA so let us give them our encouragement! GO NANYANG!

Carol, thank you for the previous post and reviving our rotting and almost disintergrating blog :P I heard you have been ill for these few days. I hope you recover soon! Because we are gonna rock the nationals!

I am sure all of us had been stressed out by a certain someone but fret not, we will pull through! To my fellow team mates competiting (especially the pistolers!) have faith in yourself that you will do well and I truely believe deep down in my heart that we would win. Do not let failure become a self-fulliling prophercy. We can win as long as we believe in ourselves. Remember, nobody in the world can tell you cannot make it, it is up to you to decide what you want (:

We trained hard, we trained long. All of us made sacrifices, whether in terms of social life, school work, physical and mental self. Today's PT was cancelled last minute, sorry for the late notice. Many of you will be wondering why.

Is it SLACK?
Is it a sudden desire to GROW FLABBY?

NO, and here's why exactly:

1) entire EXCO would not be there.
2) PT girl Ruthika couldnt make it.
3) Most Sec 2s approached me to tell me about some science centre thing, over half cannot go.
With just Sec 1s and a few girls left, I dont think it would be a good idea to just press and go ahead with PT without any instructions or any appointment to help lead PT. Besides, there would be no one to be liable for any consequences from the PT (be it injury, fight or anything). Sorry for the really late notice, I was only informed that no EXCO member would be present today.

I feel very bored so I decieded to blog here! It is now 1.52 am but oh wells, I shall just write something before I sleep! Had a totally weird day, haha, and I am not feeling well (for more info go to my blog). Whoo. First and foremost, kudos to all that cheered for us on friday when we went up to present our OM trophy. We will, and I really mean, we WILL work hard and have a crazy summer in Iowa! But it is not much of a summer though, 5 degrees celcius. HAHA

Yay, our range is clean after the dust storm at the firing area. *cough cough* Dont worry Nicole, I am cool about the hairband, I have loads at home anyway. At least 10 and different colours too! :P Well eunice, sorry I had such a condesending tone towards you on Friday. I was quite irritable because I did not have enough sleep (had to send my dad to the hospital in the middle of the night so I only slept at 3 am) and had 2 tests on that day! Nanyang is so freaky, 4 tests in one week. Ahhh... :P

Yeah, you heard kai, NUSIS is coming up and I have to clarify the pistol team. It would be Angela, Guo Cong and Ruthika. Sorry for the mix up. I registered with Jeannette's name because I could not get Angela's particulars in time. And oh ya, by saying this, I just remembered I have to get your particulars! (for sec1s and new shooters) Then it would be much more easier for me to register you guys for competition (: Yups good luck for NUSIS! I will not be able to support you guys personally because I will be in Krabi doing CIP. But fret not, for I will be supporting you guys mentally from Krabi! Go there and show the others what you got! Nanyang shooting way to go!

Shooting jacket... is causing so much controversy and headache. So now the colour is grey and orange right? So St Patricks. Haha. Well, if it were me. I would go down to queensway to view the jackets first, spot some nice ones, check the price and if it's ok, I will take pictures and bring back to let the club choose. Sometimes when choosing a jacket, it is more than the colour. Material, cutting, design, branding and price all play a part while choosing a jacket. Sometimes the colour may not really be outstanding but the design is really nice. So yah, when the exco and I have gone down to queensway then we will bring some pictures back to let you guys make your final decision (:

Ok, in my bordem today. I was having thoughts of having a shooting camp! Where all the shooters stay in a chalet and BOND! We must BOND(: And yeah, we must have more shooting outings! Must remember our promise for ice-skating during june holidays. Personally I havent skated for eons and I bet I will chu chou. So for those who cant skate, dont worry, because you have a partner to chu chou with :P Hmm... the shooting camp has to be held at the end of the year because we will have to train hard during june holidays and win nationals! today was..CDANS shoot.wooha.kaiyun was lame enough to trick xinmei and.and.and.[how to spell her name.-.-.]ok nvm,another sec one with an april fool's joke.yea.
OK.outta point.back to CDANS.wahaha.
mm..ky,me,shi ing,2 sec ones [sry dunno how to spell their names.>.<],dorothy and xin mei went to support thika,mishie and chen tian.^^
when we reached there[CDANS], we got lost.yay.eh the place give the directions damm funny one leh.one side dun have "shooting range" on it, but other side have.-.-.wth.
anw,mish and thika were already shooting, started at 3 mah.and mish's parents where there.
[psst, i din noe who they were at 1st.den suddenly mish's mummie talked to me.i was like.wth.O.O.why is this stranger talking to me.O.O.hehe.no offence mish and mish's mummie.=P]
i couldn't really see thika's shots..blocked by some ppl.mish too.oh wells.
ok this is when i got pissed off.halfway thru when mish was shooting,her pistol got a prob.then,she requested to change cause i think it was spoilt or smth.then a few officers in charge came and tok tok tok,dunno tok wad, but in the end she got to change her pistol.which was good.yeah.but then,after that,got this denice/denee/denick guy or however his name is spelt came to talk to us.as in ky and us lah.yah.ANWS,he hor talk talk talk to ky.say wad,cannot change gun in the middle,blahblahblah,if so i wud let u use my own pistol le,blahblahblah,oh who is ur coach?blahblahblah.zhang jiao lian ah?blahblahblah.and a lot more crap.-.-.

Haha ok. It is the march holidays already and I hope everyone has been enjoying it so far (I havent :P). Try to clear all your work and SIAs during this time because you will find yourself much more relaxed as your SIAs deadlines draw near (then you can sit in one corner and laugh sadistically at your poor procrastinating friends) HAHA. Did you guys enjoy LSC? I sure did enjoy OBS. I wore the OBS shirt today because I thought the quote (printed on the back of the shirt) was really meaningful and something that all nanyang shooters should have. The motto goes: to serve, to strive and not to yield. Short and sweet. It sums up the fighting spirit we all should posses within us. And here in this post, I dedicate this quote to you guys (jiayou!)

Hi all shooters!

This is a little update from your dear captain Mishie. We currently have sec 1s training with us! yong hwang from 101, eunice and jacqueline from 102, mingwei from 112! Kai yun and I have come to a common decision that we would accept jacqueline after she proved to us her ability to shine under pressure. Good for you jacqueline! (: Keep that never-say-die spirit up! I hope everyone in the team would do their best to include our juniors and make them feel at home. I am sure we will love our new juniors!

Oh, I did mention something about physical training today. As next week might not have training due to mr tan and mrs lim's schedule. Both of them have to attend a conference or something in CCAB and cannot draw the keys out for us. I think we shall use the training days to keep ourselves fit to aid in our shooting. My dream is that ny shooters are not only super fun and can shoot really well, they are also very fit! (can go represent your class in sporting events) We have to prove to others that our cca is not slack because we don't just stand around and shoot. So from now on, I would like to use our third cca day (thursday) as physical training day until competition draws near. Don't worry too much about the training. It would not be so tough! (I am quite unfit myself :P) We will start small and slowly build up. Everyone MUST participate with enthusiasium ok?

Guten tag one and all!

2006 has started and I hope everyone is doing fine (: I am sure it is a step up from last year and everyone is getting very pressured because of homework (that's why you keep seeing me as a chao he lang:P) But don't worry ok? Everything will become better; you just need time to adjust.

I see that the blog is horribly stagnant, have been having thoughts of closing it down, just hope that everyone post more!

I would like to thank everyone during the CCA exhibition and sports selection. Even though there were rough patches (for example the rifle left outside) I thought everyone did great! (: Sec 2s, you displayed real discipline and leadership during the sports selection. You guys guided the clueless (haha. I m so mean) Sec 1s and keep the overall situation under control. Good job! I also would like to thank the EXCO for being so efficient and staying back to analyse the shooting selection results. Anyway, a BIG BIG BEEEGGG thank you to everyone! None of this would have gone so smoothly if not for you guys.

Four new girls have joined shooting and they are Dorothy and Eunice from 2/10, Guo Cong from 3/3 and last but least Ruthika from 3/14. Eunice is an ex-bowler while Dorothy was an ex-golfer. They were forced to change cca as this is their ccas' final year (what a pity!) but I am sure they will enjoy shooting too! Guo Cong is new to our school as well as Singapore, she is a scholar from China and she is our da jie (big sister) because she is 17 this year! Everyone better treat her with more respect! Ruthika is also new to our school; formly from Cedar Girls and NCC. I am sure with her around, we can learn more about rifles and stuff (:

Sec 1s are coming in soon and we must WELCOME them with a big smile! I was thinking that we start a CCA angel-mortal and help our juniors integrate into our shooting club as smoothly as possible. Anyone interested just let me know and we will choose our mortals (:

A time for mourning

Hey all,

For those who do not know, coach li has passed away on monday. He was involved in a collision with a bus near yishun stadium last wednesday. When he arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced brain dead. He was put on life-support until he finally rested in peace.

We will all mourn for the loss of such a good and caring coach.

Coach Li will continue to live in our memories

Apologies for not posting for so long and my guilty conscience has made me write this post. As you can see from the title, I am here to update you about the shooting club!

Singapore Opens

Well everything went pretty well aint it? hahha. Just glad that you guys had fun. Sadly, our AP team was disqualified as we were not able to change Cheronne's name to Jeannette's within the limited time. But never mind, Claire and I shot individual. Man, although it was nerve wrecking for me to compete with such good shooters, but I still pulled through. We did not score too well thou and were ranked one of the last. I shot 314/400 and was ranked 46th out of 49th. Claire shot 256 and was ranked last. Dont worry Claire, you will do much better the next time!
Air Rifle girls also shot quite well. Even though the scores dont seem so impressive, they are really good already. Must improve and show the world the next time X))

Weapons!!!

Thank god and thank godness the weapons are FINALLY here. Man, what a long long long loooooooonnnnngggg wait. The police just sent us the approval letter of us having the weapons already. Whee! We will soon be able to shoot in our own range already.

For the weapons, we have chosen Walther as our choice of weapons rather than the famous Feinwerkbau. The website can b seen under the links section. I believe it is named carl-walther.com. You can check out more information about the weapons there. The rifles will be Walther LG300XT Universal. They are air compressed which means that you dont have to cock the rifle anymore!! They arent the fancy alus that pros have but they are really quite good X))

We have also ordered 3 pistols other than the 7 rifles. The pistols are Walther LP300 and are really nice. Heard that the grip is damned comfortable. Man, seriously cant wait for it!!

CIP at Padang (14 August)

okies guys. Get ready to rock out at Padang this Sunday because it is the ASPAC ROCK CONCERT!!! It is one of the coolest CIPs. Man, we petitioned so hard to get such a cool CIP (if not you will doing flag day :P) Hahaha. Nothing much other than please remember to go to the briefing tomorrow in the LT and we will get the SRC polo tees there. Attire for sunday will be the SRC polo tee and jeans and please be at the main lobby of SCR (next to padang) by 1545!

Alright, before I mention the new additions to the club. I shall mention the seniors leaving. Ok not seniors but senior. Samantha is now officially out of the shooting club and we will miss you SAM!!! Please do visit us when you are in HCJC and good luck for getting into HCJC shooting!
New additions to our club are Xin Mei from 204 and Shi Ing from 104. All from 4's class, abit the coincidence right? hahaha. Oh wells, WELCOME ABOARD X))

Club Disputes

Ok, what I am going to touch on now is very sensitive and please do not let your emotions get the better of you. Currently, we all know that there are several people not on very well terms with the rest of the club. We all know who I am refering to (who are yan hui and carol). Please do not take this as a personal insult. I thought it would be better if I be more straightforward. Carol, I understand you have problems geling in with the rest of the club and I am here ready to help. I may sound false or whatever. But the reason that I did not my help earlier was that I do not know whether you would accept it. You have been consistently sending the wrong message to me like not wanting to train with us and getting your own rifle. You may not realise this but it is sending others the wrong message that you want "out" of the club. I do not wish to see our club so segregated and I wish everyone can get along together. So please do tell me your problems, I will sit down with you and try to work things out. Anyway, I know you dont wish to be left behind and I do not wish to see that either. Let's work things out shall we? X))

Hi guys. I decided to blog today. it's once in a life time, OKAY? so you all better treasure this post. Haha, nah just kidding. but anyway, I'll just like to say - everyone! you did great!! :D Really proud of everyone. Well, actually, I sort of never expected for anyone of us to even clinch any prizes. B Div winning 3rd was quite a surprise for me. For C Div, I thought there might be a chance. But I never thought NY C Div would get first in west zone.

STILL. All in all, it's not just about winning. I think all of you guys did your very best. C Div, they've done even better than NUS shootout, so, that was excellent. I'm happy that three of you, carol, yanhui and xinxi, still shot quite well despite the stress. For B Div, I think, Kaiyun and Ee ning did quite ok considering the fact that that was their first ever competition. I suppose it's not wrong for me to say that their next shoot would be even better than than before. I know you can do it! Kaiyun, well, although you sort of cracked a bit, but it went well in the end, didn't it?

I would also like to thank everyone who came to support us!!! Thanks for coming!

It was a great competition. I sort of enjoyed it. Haha. I mean, no one to snatch lanes from you during competition. No one to tell you, "Hurry up! I want to use the lane, you know?". :P

Although I won't be able to join you all for the Singapore Open...(I busy with studying and homework mah)... I wish you guys a great shoot!

Ok. Nothing can be better than what happened today. C Division West Zone CHAMPIONS!!! 2nd Runner Up in B Division West Zone!!! Everyone, you all did well.

B Div shooters, dont feel so sad because you gave your best and I know it! As I told you guys, winning is not all, it is about giving your best in the range and coming out knowing that you did all you can. No matter what the results are, you are already winners X) Eening, dont feel so bad, you didnt let Sam down X) And Sam congrats on your score, you coped really well with the pressure and I admire that!

PS. Waiting for your good news to get into HCJC air rifle. You can do it!

Congrats to the C Division girls for becoming CHAMPS! You guys really rose up to the challenge and kicked ass. Proved to many people that nanyang shooting aint bad just because we are new. Hope you guys can continue this long reign of success! X)

PSS. Xin Xi, you really did well today! ;)

Thanks to all the supporters that came. I was with them when B Div was shooting. We were like staring at Sam, wishing her good luck and guessing her card. (we could have gotten a better view if that West Spring Secondary School's ass wasnt blocking us...) Oh wells, I could feel the team spirit within us. GO NANYANG!

okay, so we have some issues here. apparently people took off with gloves that do not belong to them. hmm, i just rejoined the intense training a while ago, and ain't know anything about gloves, but really, those who did it, either accidentally, purposely or accidentally-on-purposely, don't let your integrity down. own up now before michelle and kaiyun gets scolded. oh kaiyun! maybe some other people (not from our team) took them? as you said, people leave their gloves lying around...it would have been no mean feat for others to steal the gloves if they wanted to.

anyway, about attendance, i know i have no right to say anything since i am one of the few who don't turn up for many of the sessions. but afterall, this is my second cca, and i've got to skip out on quite alot of shooting practices to fit in my schedule for first cca. i'm really sorry. but to the rest who skip trainings for no apparent reason or something it's not very honest, to the team and yourself right? a good reason would be that ~~you've suddenly died~~ you have medical leave, or supplementaries in school. or something. just, fully utilise the shooting right! afterall we pay $350 for this!

lastly, ciao to michelle who's flying off to Bintan on friday! will miss you. don't become too tanned until you fry! x)

okies, mish here. There r several issues i shall bring up in dis post (sry, i hafta sound so serious, yea but things hafta b done(X )

first, the weapons. i noe u guyz r kinda concerned abt the weapons n when they r cumning n everything (me too!). i hav talked to mr tan n i hav gotten an ans frm him (finally, haha, aft prying for very very long). for the weapons to b bought, we need six signatures frm the sch like the principle n everything. so currently we hav 4 signatures n 2 r still needed. but the thing is dat they r out of town n it is very hard to get their signature. our best bet, is dat the doc get signed at the starting of sch. n dats NOT the end (whew. wad a longgg, tedious process), we still hafta send it to the police. dun worry abt the police side, my aunt is gonna help us pull strings n get it done in two weeks time. sry, dis is the most i as a capt. can do for u guyz. real apologies to the shooters hu r gonna shoot in the inter-sch, i noe u luv to shoot wif ya own rifles but i dun tink i can b done (sryyyy....) :(

secondly, the gloves, dis is a serious issue because integrity is at stake here. kai yun's rep is on the line n i dun wan coach zhang to tink dat kai yun or nyshooting (us!) is not responsible n trustworthy. i noe i may sound acussing but sumone muz hav lost the glove or taken xtra cuz gloves dun walk away on their own. yea, i hope (anyone guilty of doing dat) u will own up. pls, we will not blame u, we juz hope dat u guyz learn dat we sink or swim as a team. if sumone does sumthing wrong, the whole team is pulled down, yea, n i hope we CAN work together n RAWK ON. show does ppl we can kick ass even thou we r new. we r new kids down the block but we aint nice to bully!!! (X (oh kai yun, i hav a glove wif me)

thirdly, i wld like to talk abt attendance n discipline. i hope u guyz can instill beta discipline in urself n cum for every trg session if possible. i do not wish to rant on dis but the attendance has been very disappointing. i wld like u guyz to contemplate abt ur attendance n c whether u r doing urself justice. if u do not like dis cca, pls cum n talk to me. i m open to u transferring. i can oso help u get into the cca of ur choice. because, i seriously dun wan u to feel forced into going for shooting all the time. it wld neither b gd for urself n the whole club.
